DECtech Outreach Program for Girls, Colorado School of Mines

Discover | Explore | Create Technology -- is a Colorado School of Mines outreach program for 3rd-10th grade girls that is designed to foster interest in STEM topics and inspire the next generation of STEM innovators. DECtech lessons are developed and facilitated by female Mines students who are passionate about their subjects of study and want to act as role models for younger female and underrepresented students. It introduces younger girls to a variety of STEM subjects through fun, hands-on activities, and gives older participants the opportunity to investigate specific STEM topics in depth or to be mentors as interns in the program.
