Deer Lake School, a full K-12 school in Burnaby, BC, is part of the world-wide Adventist Education system (7,000+ schools). Since 2013 DLS has been a 7 Habits, Leader in Me School, challenging and mentoring students to be leaders through personal choices and within the classroom and community. Annual enrollment averages 300, with the student body reflecting multiple faith groups, ethnicities, and cultural backgrounds. It is this powerful inclusion of diversity that makes DLS a desirable school for parents and educators, as DLS reflects the broader local community and the global community as well. Many students attend from K through their 12th grade graduation. Longevity is a hallmark of our educators as well, with many teaching at DLS for 15+ years, making the school truly feel like family.
