Innovation is our nature. De Martini has been operating in the textile manufacturing industry since 1960. Building on our expertise in synthetic fibre processing, in the early Seventies we embraced a new challenge by launching the production of capillary flow-control filters used as reservoirs in writing instruments, cosmetics, and air fresheners. To better focus on these specialized applications, in the Nineties we established a dedicated division — DBT FIBRE S.p.A. — to carry on the textile business, developing and producing mixed fibres and webs for spinning. Today, De Martini produces and distributes filters made from acetate, polyester, and polypropylene fibres, supplying the world’s leading manufacturers of writing instruments, room scenting devices, cosmetic products, and many other applications. Our products reach all five continents, with markets served either directly from our main plant in Cerrione, Italy, or through De Martini Hitkari Fine Products Pvt. Ltd., our joint venture with the Hitkari Group, based in Mumbai, India. For over 50 years, we have remained true to our commitment to innovation while staying grounded in our values and our homeland — a land we respect and protect by manufacturing responsibly, optimising our environmental and social impact.
