Development Concern (DC) is a not-for profit company that, over the last 10 years, has provided project management and consultancy services for more than 150 projects across Sri Lanka. DC was established in 2007 by a group of development professionals as a Consultancy firm that provides Project Management consultancies at an affordable cost to local and international organizations working in Sri Lanka. DC was formally registered as a business entity in 2011 and in 2017 incorporated as a company limited by guarantee. In the last 10 years, DC had provided consultancy services for Project Evaluation, Capacity Building trainings, Baseline Studies, Strategic Plan Development, Project Proposal Development, Organization Management, Researches in multiple discipline and Event Management. Moving forward, DC is in the process of establishing the Credit Arm which will support the entrepreneurial financially struggling people who don’t have capital to start or expand their business. DC will provide collateral free microcredit to the deserving people. DC has established local and international networks and knowledge of government and institutional procedures together with the necessary mix of technical, financial and management skills. Its professional team of consultants has developed proven procedures in Project Design, Monitoring & Evaluation, Financial Management and Project Management. Learning from our experience, we are particularly aware of and responsive to client’s needs and to the local knowledge and development contexts. Adaptability and resource availability are the crucial factors in the development work in which DC specializes. We are proud of our record of efficiency in managing many contracts and assignments and delivering a high-quality service in a timely.
