Development Society of the Ateneo

The Development Society of the Ateneo (DevSoc Ateneo) is the home organization for Development Studies students in the Ateneo de Manila University. DevSoc Ateneo seeks to analyze and start discourse on issues and topics concerning development in all aspects and forms. For the past years, DevSoc Ateneo has worked with several organizations and companies from different sectors of society to help bring their advocacies to the Loyola Schools student body. Our organization imagines Atenean students as future advocates for change within Philippine society. Change that seeks to represent and give power to marginalized sectors of society, marking the path for development that is people-centered. DevSoc Ateneo treks through that vision by aiming to immerse the youth in development discourse and bring deeper insight on society's need for interdisciplinary collaboration in solving society's multidimensional problems. As an organization primarily concerned with discussing and analyzing society, DevSoc Ateneo moves with purpose towards a future where members see with multiple perspectives and are ready to create meaningful change in their communities.
