The mission of Dress for Success is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
Dress for Success Winnipeg is a part of the South Winnipeg Family Information Centre (originally known as Fort Garry Family Life Centre), which was established in the fall of 1974 as a result of community interest. In 1997, SWFIC started a program called the Clothes Closet that operated for 22 years before becoming a Dress for Success Affiliate in 2019. We are proud to honor the legacy of the Clothes Closet under our new name as we continue the important work of giving women the gift of confidence.
