DMC Africa is a platform where aspiring artisans can learn high in-demand facility vocational skills and sell their services in the fastest, affordable and convenient way. We are solving the problem of vocational skills education as the traditional system of education fails to equip aspiring artisans with the practical entrepreneurship and occupational skills required for launching and scaling their businesses. In addition to that, the current curriculum of vocational vocational schools and centres is outdated and disconnected from the market realities. Finally, vocational skills education in Nigeria is quite unattractive and grossly undervalued but the current data and market research shows that these sector is the backbone of the real-estate economy and it is worth between $26.9B - $40.3B. Also, with a population of over 200 million and a housing deficit of 20 million, there is a serious demand for more than 10 million artisans to address the shortfall within the next 20 years. In fact, experts recommend training at least 1 million artisans annually to meet the existing shortfall. Finally, after moving into my mini-flat apartment last year march, my cousins who are electricians and furniture makers have been disturbing to recommend my friends to them which i have been doing but it's been stressful doing that manually plus a lot of people moving into apartments have also asked me to help them find artisans. Hence, the need to build a platform like DMC. We solve this problem by fusing education, e-commerce and lending together, though the lending platform is a future plan.
