Founded in 1987, by a family with an industrial cork background, the company Dimas & Silva Lda emerged from the entrepreneurial spirit of the founding partners Dimas Manuel Alves and António Júlio Silva.
We manufacture the following products:
-Granulates result from the grinding of cork and cork waste. They are classified by granulometry and density. Their application is very diverse, the main one being technical cork stoppers. Insulation, footwear, civil construction, decorative pieces and gardening are also prominent applications.
-Natural cork blocks are the result of a careful selection of the raw material. The cork strips are overlapped widthways or lengthways in order to obtain distinctive compositions and patterns. The blocks and reels maintain the original cork texture and pattern and can be made with different calibres and dimensions in wide band or thin band. The main applications are cork flooring, cork fabric, components for shoes and other decorative products (architecture and design).
-Broken is a product that results from the first grinding of cork. This product is mainly intended for civil construction and gardening applications.
-The flexibility of the process allows us to offer various types of products and services tailored to the client. Virgin cork tubes and planks, cork boards for construction, bowls, cork lids and pieces for terrariums are examples of products we can supply.
