DISC Trust is Aotearoa’s leading peer-based harm reduction service, dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of people who inject and use drugs. As part of the New Zealand Needle Exchange Programme and a licensed drug checking provider, we deliver needle exchange, drug checking, and harm reduction services across Te Waipounamu South Island and Wellington. We operate seven needle exchanges across the South Island, manage the national pharmacy needle exchange programme, and provide mobile harm reduction outreach in Te Tai Poutini West Coast. Our drug checking services run continuously in Ōtepoti Dunedin, Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington and Ōtautahi Christchurch, Our health services include peer-led Hepatitis C screening and treatment, a weekly Nurse Practitioner clinic in Christchurch, and a GP clinic in Dunedin. We are committed to a health and human rights-based approach, ensuring people who use drugs have access to non-judgmental, evidence-based care and support.
