In the digital age, new and further developments in digital technologies are leading to significant changes in business and society. A key feature of a digital corporate world is that digital technologies are increasingly becoming an inherent part of products, services and business models. Companies face the challenge of making strategic decisions regarding the timely use of disruptive technologies. The goal of our Digital Innovation research area is to reduce uncertainty in the selection of technologies. In the context of both basic and applied research projects, ditlab therefore deals, for example, with the identification of relevant technologies through trend or technology potential analyses. Innovative digital technologies require the development and evaluation of new business models as well as the corresponding adaptation of the organization to these new, digital challenges. In the Digital Transformation research area, ditlab therefore deals, among other things, with the integrated alignment of existing processes and structures, application systems and data management, and the underlying infrastructure with the requirements of new customer needs and business models.
