About DLR Institute of Structures and Design
The Institute of Structures and Design, part of the German Aerospace Center (DLR), develops high-performance structures for a wide range of applications (aerospace, transport, etc.) from conceptual design to production technology. The Institute is located on its two sites in Stuttgart and Augsburg. Four departments are located in Stuttgart: - Component design and manufacturing technologies - Ceramic composite structures - Structural integrity - Space System Integration In Augsburg, the department of "Automation and Quality Assurance in Production" is located which is also the “Center for Lightweight Production Technology (ZLP)” . https://www.dlr.de/zlp/desktopdefault.aspx/tabid-10812/ Another DLR ZLP is located in Stade.
