Created 10 years ago and based in Rome, DocLab Productions is one of the leading independent Italian production companies. Led by Producer-director Marco Visalberghi who has built on his 20-year experience of science and natural history filmmaking, it specializes today not only in science but also in history, culture and current affairs. Doclab is one of RAI’s supplier of choice but the company operates mostly on the international level and counts among its production partners, Discovery Channel, WDR, ARTE, BBC and National Geographic. Its credits include feature-length documentaries such as “Excellent Cadavers” for the BBC, RAI TRE and FRANCE 2 and “a Matter of Colour” for Arte and SBS among others… The team is currently in production of “The Supergrass”, a portrait of the most dangerous whistleblower to have ever taken on the Mafia and Italian corruption in its political system, “Holy Gra”, an observational documentary directed by the multiple award winning Gianfranco Rosi and “The Caravaggio Affair” which follows the quest for the remains of the Master of the Renaissance.
