Sekvenca is a production company based in Croatia. Characterized by an independent spirit and individual approach, our focus is to produce author driven films that create new forms of cinematic expression with a strong international audience appeal.
In 2015 Sekvenca produced a short film PICNIC (dir. Jure Pavlović), that won the European Film Academy award and continued to make appearances on more than 150 festivals (including Berlinale and Clermont-Ferrand). In 2018. company produced feature films LADA KAMENSKI (dir.S.Hribar, M. Šantić; - IP at Montreal World Film Festival, won several awards at national Pula Film Festival – FEDEORA award for Best film; Best debut film; Best screenplay; Best actress), JIMMIE (dir.J.Ganslandt, opening film of Rotterdam IFF 2018.) and HOME (dir.D.Pleić), as well as short documentary THE LOVETTS (dir.I.Bezinović, premiered at CPH DOX).
In 2019. the company produced a debut feature film MATER (dir. Jure Pavlovic, premiered at Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, won Best regional film at FEST Belgrade Film Festival and Best Actress Award at Taormina FF – sales are handled by Syndicado).
Sekvenca regularly produces content for national broadcaster and has developed stable co-operation with national and local film funds, regional public broadcasters, regional funds and international distributors.
