About DTWO project
The objective of Federated Digital Twins for Wind-Offshore (DTWO) is to develop a federated digital twin integrating existing simulation assets and real-time data to transform them into virtual power plants delivering up-to-date energy system powered by offshore wind. While there have been other commercial initiatives for Digital Twin of wind farms, this project stands out by introducing a groundbreaking innovation: the creation of the first-of-its-kind customizable platform that eliminates the need for users to share commercially valuable data. By utilizing a digital twin of entire wind farms, various scenarios, such as approaching extreme weather events, or future wind farm projects, can be simulated, allowing reliability for accurate performance predictions for both bottom-fixed and floating wind farms.
