Scale Control:
The DC process creates a controlled, partial electrolysis in the water. This process precipitates scale-forming minerals within the controlled environment of the DWT reactor instead of on heat transfer surfaces.

How Electrochemical Technology Works:
A carefully controlled partial electrolysis splits water into H+ and OH- ions inside the reactor, lowering the pH and leading to a high concentration of bicarbonate ions and accelerating the precipitation of hard minerals inside the reactor. Equilibrium is maintained between the pH and alkalinity to minimize corrosion, allowing a significant increase in the cycles of concentration and minimizing blowdown to save water. Controlling scale and biologics results in cleaner heat transfer surfaces and reduced energy consumption.
