The Eastern Star (Australia) Foundation Ltd trading as Eastern Star Foundation is a philanthropic foundation that provides grants to charities to help improve outcomes for the aged. Our activities are underpinned by our values of dignity, independence and hope.
Our history of caring for the aged dates back to 1954, when a group of Order of the Eastern Star members established the organisation with a mission to provide a home for their aged members. The organisation later became an aged and community care provider, known as Star Aged Living and based at Beaudesert in Queensland, before that business was sold in 2018.
Established as a foundation in 2019, the organisation’s activities are underpinned by its values of dignity, independence and hope. Through our partnerships with charities and other philanthropists, we help the aged to:
