EATcofriendly

“EATcofriendly” is formed by a group of dedicated young people, committed to raising public awareness of low-carbon diet, and increasing the prevalence and acceptability of low-carbon diet in Hong Kong to slow down global warming. Through policy advocacy and public education, we aim to highlight the benefits brought by consuming a low-carbon diet, and encourage them to achieve sustainable eating to mitigate the effects of climate change. We will also submit a proposal to the government to ask for an update of existing dietary guidelines to consider both public and planetary health, to integrate food sector decarbonization into Hong Kong’s Climate Action Plan, as well as to incorporate more guidelines on food purchase into green procurement policy.
