Eating Disorder Support Network of Alberta

The Eating Disorder Support Network of Alberta (EDSNA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing meaningful support to those affected- directly and indirectly- by eating disorders. Thanks to funding from Alberta Health, Mental Health and Addictions, EDSNA is able to offer professionally-facilitated support groups across Alberta. This grassroots organization was founded in 2014 by Moyra McAllister, an Edmonton area mother whose daughter developed an eating disorder. Moyra's personal experience inspired a desire to support others. EDSNA offers: - Support groups for people with Eating Disorders as well as parents and loved ones in Calgary, Edmonton, and online. - Education and awareness workshops & presentations. - Volunteer opportunities, - A hub for eating disorder related resources across Canada.
