Since 1992, the Éclipse solar car club has been promoting renewable energies and green technologies by designing and manufacturing aerodynamic and lightweight prototypes, powered solely by solar energy. These cars parade on the American and Australian highways at cruising speeds of around 70 km/h in the context of major interuniversity races.
