About SONIA AUV

SONIA AUV is a Canadian student-run technical club from ÉTS located in Montreal, Quebec. Established in 1999, we have since designed and engineered several autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) in order to compete at the annual RoboSub competition in San Diego. The behaviors demonstrated by these experimental robotic submarines mimic those of real-world systems, currently deployed around the world for underwater exploration, seafloor mapping, and sonar localization, amongst many others. We are also members of our community looking to further our research in the engineering field. Our numorous sponsors and professors have helped us tremendously in achieving the team's goals. SONIA AUV is always looking to partner with companies to help the advancement of our projects. We help giving back to our community by promoting our work in schools and other STEM events such as the Eureka! Festival.
