ECN Purpose is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on improving access to vision care for underserved populations in the United States. Our mission is to bridge the gap in eye health awareness and provide essential vision care services, particularly through their Mobile Eye Health Unit. This mobile unit travels to various communities, especially in Orange County, California, offering vision screenings, eye examinations, and educational sessions about eye health. The mobile unit is staffed by volunteer optometrists and technicians who connect individuals to necessary eye care.
Founded by Aspasia Shappet, ECN Purpose also partners with various community organizations and events, such as the Rock4Sight concert, to raise funds and awareness for their cause. The Rock4Sight event, held annually during Vision Expo East, features musicians from the optical industry and has been instrumental in funding our initiatives, including the purchase and customization of the mobile unit.
Our organization is supported by various sponsors and industry partners who are committed to helping ECN Purpose expand its reach and impact, particularly among vulnerable groups like the elderly, uninsured, and youth in foster care.
