About ECU International Student Association
The ISA is established to promote cultural exchange and mutual understanding among international and domestic students, faculty, and staff at East Carolina University. The ISA aims to create a supportive and inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and fosters friendship and cooperation among students from different cultural backgrounds. The objectives of the ISA are as follows: a) To provide a platform for international and domestic students, faculty, and staff to connect, socialize, and share their cultural heritage with one another and the broader university community. b) To organize events, workshops, and activities that promote cross-cultural understanding and appreciation. c) To offer support and assistance to new international students during their transition to East Carolina University. d) To collaborate with university departments, offices, and other student organizations to enhance the experiences of international students and to facilitate their contributions to campus life. e) To serve as a representative body for international students and advocate for their interests and needs at the university.
