EHSAS (Empathetic Humane Socially Awakened Samaj) is a not-for-profit organization established in 2007, driven by dedicated volunteers with a strong commitment to environmental and social welfare. Our core focus lies in water conservation through rainwater harvesting and rooftop solar installations across schools, homes, offices, community buildings, and industries. This direction gained momentum with the Jal Shakti Abhiyan in June 2019, after which we developed the JVK filter—a device for rooftop rainwater harvesting via borewells.
We operate across several states, including Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and West Bengal, with endorsements from state governments like Delhi and Haryana. Our holistic approach includes bio-composting, sewage bio-remediation, tree plantation, community outreach, and promotion of Yoga and Kathak.
EHSAS has actively supported healthcare and livelihood through free medical aid, eye surgeries, and sanitation drives. During COVID-19, we provided ration kits, sanitizers, oxygen cylinders, and created YouTube tutorials to help patients install oxygen flowmeters. We procured medical supplies from Pondicherry and Chennai with the support of Indian Railways and led pro bono support drives for underprivileged families.
Under the Arth Ganga Jalaj Model, we support livelihood enhancement and link communities with government schemes. EHSAS has partnered with UltraTech Cement to promote water and solar sustainability in the NCR.
We engage students, professionals, farmers, and self-help groups to create an empathetic and socially awakened society. Based on the belief “जल है तो कल है”, EHSAS was honored with the WATER HERO Award by the Ministry of Jal Shakti in December 2022.
