Elbrus Mining Company LLC (EGRK) – dynamically growing mining and metallurgical holding, was established in 2017 to implement a project to resume mining at the largest Russian and one of world’s largest tungsten-molybdenum deposits Tyrnyauz in Kabardino-Balkar Republic (the “Project”). The Project assumes the creation of a fully new, modern, high-tech and environmentally friendly full cycle production enterprise, including design and construction of: - Underground mine and processing plant in Tyrnyauz (Kabardino-Balkar Republic); - Hydrometallurgical plant in Nevinnomyssk (Stavropol region); - Related infrastructure. As a result of the Project implementation the largest manufacturer of tungsten-molybdenum products in the Russian Federation and a significant player in the world market will be created. - Planned mine capacity – 1,5 million tons of ore per year; - Planned output of commercial products – up to 5 thousand tons of tungsten oxide and up to 1.3 thousand tons of molybdenum oxide per year. The implementation of the Project will ensure the resource security of the Russian industry, including civil and military needs in terms of tungsten raw materials, and creates a platform for further development and production of high-tech metallurgical products.
