Incepted in 1984, Electro Controls was established with a view to render quick and effective Product Support System for the engines, manufactured by M/s Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd., Pune. Beginning the services with W/WV series engines, the operations were extended to handle the engine range of Medium Engines for both industrial and Power Generation applications in Coimbatore, Tirupur, Nilgiris & Erode Districts in Tamilnadu and Palakkad District in Kerala. Presently Electro Controls also enjoys the distinction of undertaking operation & maintenance contracts of High Capacity Multi fuel Gensets on behalf of M/s Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd., Nasik.
The Service Centre is equipped with the comprehensive infrastructure to overhaul and test KOEL Engines and the Air-conditioned Training Centre is also equipped with all facilities to provide training to customers / engineers. A Showroom for the sale of spares for Medium engines was opened in Coimbatore in 1995. For the easy reach of customers falling under a radious of 50Kms, spares / service outlets were started in Tirupur, Erode, Pollachi, Dharapuram, Sathyamangalam, Palakkad, Tirupur II and Perundurai. Resident Service Engineers have been posted at Coonoor and Udumalpet. Another service centre also functioning in Madukkarai for the large engine service jobs.
