John El Khazen is a professional engineer with over 15 years of diversified experience in consulting, construction, research, manufacturing, and logistics. He is experienced in forensic investigations, failure analysis, academic research, technical reporting, quality management, project management, and people management. In 2013, John founded El Khazen Engineering Corporation, a federal corporation, to address the needs of various clients from the industrial, financial, and legal sectors. El Khazen Engineering Corporation is authorized by Professional Engineers Ontario to provide engineering services to the public. Our goal is to deliver optimal solutions that exceed client requirements and expectations. We are resourceful, passionate, and friendly, and adhere to the fundamentals of confidentiality, integrity, and respect. The company strives to build lasting relationships with our clients and the community. Our services include: a. failure analysis and forensic engineering investigations, including metallurgical examinations, of various materials, such as metals, polymers, ceramics, and composites; b. assessments, evaluations, technical reporting, and presentations for forensic engineering investigations and analyses of failed or damaged mechanical systems and components; c. report reviews and research for material failures; d. standards research and code consulting, such as ASTM/CSA and building/plumbing code, respectively; e. project management for replacement and repair activities following losses due to material failures; and, f. process review, improvement, and implementation activities. Our method includes nondestructive and destructive techniques as part of the following tasks: i. documentation of evidence; ii. communication with various parties; iii. preliminary assessment; and, iv. engineering analysis and technical reporting. We typically apply North American and international standards such as AASHTO, ACI, ANSI, API, ASME, ASTM, CSA, ISO, and NACE.
