EMDR Chicago Paula Merucci Training and Consultation

Paula P. Merucci, LCSW, CADC, Type 73, EMDR-certified and EMDRIA-approved Consultant and nationwide EMDR Basic Trainer. My passion for EMDR skills and knowledge originated professionally and personally as I witnessed the powerful and rapid progress of myself and my clients. My desire is to integrate this transformative orientation seamlessly into your treatment approach with the ultimate goal of walking those experiencing pain and dysfunction, into the light. Consultation differs from supervision in that the consultee maintains primary responsibility for the decisions involving treatment of their clients. I offer both individual and group consultation to clinicians. Typically, consultation will be focused on supporting clinicians as they begin to integrate EMDR therapy into their current clinical practice. Clinicians can present and share concerns they have with a particular client or they can ask for clarification and support with continued development of their EMDR skills. My specialty is in addictions and trauma work. During consultation, I share information or knowledge I have learned to help strengthen clinicians understanding of the EMDR process. My experiences working in a community mental health center and volunteer work with human trafficking survivors have impacted me in a profound way. These experiences enhance my commitment and passion to help others reduce their pain and dysfunction. I am enthusiastic about this treatment approach and would love to work with clinicians to help further improve their skills and add to their clinical toolbox.
