Extra-Mural Lectures, IIT Madras

Extra Mural Lectures (EML) established in 1982, making it one of the oldest student-run bodies in the Institute, is the official lecture body of IIT Madras. The EML series serves as a platform for the Institute community to interact with and learn from highly accomplished and reputed speakers from diverse backgrounds. We have a heritage of hosting lectures from distinguished speakers like Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, A R Rahman, Indra Nooyi, Arivu, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, S.S. Rajamouli, Mr. Kailash Satyarthi, Mr. Venkaiah Naidu, Dr. Muhammad Yunus among many others. Come, meet the people, who have not just created history, but have created a future for mankind.
