Extra Mural Lectures (EML) established in 1982, making it one of the oldest student-run bodies in the Institute, is the official lecture body of IIT Madras. The EML series serves as a platform for the Institute community to interact with and learn from highly accomplished and reputed speakers from diverse backgrounds. We have a heritage of hosting lectures from distinguished speakers like Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, A R Rahman, Indra Nooyi, Arivu, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, S.S.
