Empowered Together

Empowered Together is a youth led not-for-profit committed to educating the community on sexual violence prevention and consent laws, and opening conversation to remove the stigma associated with sexual violence. We primarily engage with high school students through sexual violence prevention and consent workshops for secondary students. We believe in giving students the tools to effectively have conversations regarding sex and consent. By using realistic scenarios and a peer-led approach, we help create a safe environment for students to openly discuss an increasingly important topic that can affect anybody. Additionally, we work with universities to educate students and staff, and improve awareness on campus. We also work with the broader community via collaboration with other organisations or through our Social Media. We hope that by addressing this topic in an open and honest manner, we can break the taboo and stigma that sadly surrounds this issue. We believe that knowledge is an empowering tool, allowing individuals to recognise and fight sexual assault.
