EncypherAI is an open-source initiative building foundational infrastructure for verifiable AI content. We develop lightweight developer tools that embed cryptographic metadata into AI-generated text, enabling provable content attribution without relying on unreliable AI detection methods. Our mission is to bring trust and transparency to the age of generative AI, not by guessing who wrote something, but by providing verifiable proof from the source. We’re building toward an open metadata standard for AI provenance, content authenticity, and regulatory compliance that can be adopted across platforms, providers, and ecosystems. Backed by a growing community of developers, researchers, and AI ethicists, EncypherAI is free to use under AGPL-3.0, with commercial licensing available for platforms seeking to integrate content verification at scale.
