Engineering Design & Modeling Club

Engineering Design & Modeling Club is a student organization that fosters and cultivates the skills in using CAD software, with a primary focus on SolidWorks, among the NIU Engineering student body. Our club plays a pivotal role in providing a platform for students to engage in practical design engineering projects. By participating in these activities, students not only enhance their engineering design capabilities but also have the opportunity to establish a comprehensive engineering portfolio, which can include a certificate after passing the Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA) – Academic Exam. This portfolio can prove invaluable in their future careers, serving as a tangible testament to their proficiency in mechanical component design using CAD software.
