EntoGenetics is an advanced biomaterials company located in Charlotte, NC. We have created the means for commercial-scale spider silk production from genetically engineered silkworms (Bombyx mori).
We are producing pilot-scale quantities for a government contract with the US Army PEO Soldier. Our silk lines are undergoing ballistic testing and show promise for use in next-generation body armor. We are also exploring a variety of applications from regenerative medicine to rock-climbing ropes.
