Asociația Environ a fost înființată în anul 2007 și este printre primele organizații colective, non-guvernamentale din România care urmărește să transpună principiul răspunderii extinse al producătorului din țara noastră și să asigure un sistem eficient de gestionare a deșeurilor de echipamente electrice și electronice. Membră a organizațiilor europene, WEEE Forum și WEEELABEX, Asociația Environ și-a format și menține standarde înalte de performanță în reciclarea DEEE-urilor, dezvoltând un sistem eficient de recuperare a echipamentelor electrice și electronice în peste 4000 de puncte publice de colectare. Asociația Environ excelează în tot ceea ce este legat de serviciile de gestionare a deșeurilor și își dorește să poată contribui în continuare, într-o măsură semnificativă, la crearea condițiilor adecvate pentru dezvoltarea durabilă a societății românești în ansamblu. Prioritatea Environ este protejarea mediului și a sănătății oamenilor, conservarea resurselor și prevenirea poluării. Pe parcursul activității noastre am gestionat în mod responsabil peste 90.000 de tone de DEEE, am înființat peste 4000 de puncte permanente de colectare a acestor deșeuri, am lansat 3 aplicații mobile pentru a susține reciclarea, am implementat programul ecologic „Baterel, Eroul Reciclării” în peste 2000 școli din țară și am organizat sute de campanii de conștientizare și colectare.
