Epicentre is a South African company, established in 2001 in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. Epicentre currently has offices in Hillcrest, Johannesburg and Cape Town. Epicentre works as a multi-ethnic team to study and combat public health crises throughout South Africa and its neighbouring countries.
We specialise in technologically advanced public health research, programme impact assessment and implementing workplace programmes. We collect robust surveillance data to control diseases in South Africa and neighbouring countries. We assist with designing 90-90-90 programme strategies and collaborate with leading scientists to guide interventions that benefit communities and businesses more efficiently.
For the past 20 years, Epicentre has been helping its clients and partners to build strategies, develop partnerships within their communities and implement programmes that have a lasting and positive social and financial impact.
Epicentre focuses on two major areas:
Community-based or Clinic-based Research to help our partners both in and out of the field to understand HIV, TB and other chronic conditions. We aim through our programs to help and understand those that are affected and to stop the spread of infection to those that are not.
Implementing evidence-based HIV and Wellness interventions in a workplace setting. Epicentre helps businesses to assess health-based problems within their company, and then plan, manage and put in place an HIV and Wellness programmes that have proven results; which we are able to look back on and evaluate within each individual business.
