We are EqualEd, a social enterprise on a mission to equalise the access, quality and affordability of education globally. Today, we’re more connected and have access to more resources than ever before. Yet hundreds of millions aren’t getting the education they need. By harnessing advances in online learning brought on by the pandemic, we provide free programmes that reach some of the world’s most remote and under-resourced communities. Through dedicated volunteers and innovative technology, we aim to break down the barriers of location, skills shortages and financial means. Our Volunteachers Programme connects experienced and passionate volunteer teachers with classrooms across the globe. Using Google technology, we link subject matter experts with students in some of the most low-resource settings, providing equal access to quality education for every young learner. Our Teacher Training Programme enables educators around the world to access high-quality training regardless of their financial means, experience or location. In partnership with leading universities, we provide professional learning resources and skills development opportunities, as well as training on topics like safeguarding and mental health from some of the world's leading experts. Our Hub Development Programme works alongside governments and NGOs to plan, develop and manage community learning centres in areas where they are needed most. By supplementing existing education systems, our global network of community-led, digitally-connected Hubs will create valuable learning opportunities for students, teachers and wider communities. EqualEd is a dual-registered company and charity in the UK and US, connecting people across cultures, skillsets and perspectives with the hope that equal access to education will enable equal opportunity for all.
