Erasmus BJJ

Erasmus BJJ is a student club founded in 2015 at Erasmus University that aims to promote the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu among university students. We are a diverse bunch, with roots from all over the world, and with one thing in common: our enthusiasm for the gentle art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Our aproach is simple. 1. Have fun and relax. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a sport you do because you enjoy it. At times it gets harder, but if most of the time is a struggle, you are doing something wrong. 2. Have an open mind. The world is already mean outside our classes, let’s make it awesome inside the Dojo. Respect and be kind to everybody. Help them learn. Smile. You will see this brings more satisfaction than a hundred flying arm bars on the new white belt. Everybody is equal on and off the mats. 4. Open Jiu Jitsu is our mantra. We encourage everybody to train with us and with anyone. We are affiliated with no team, but in a way with every team. Everybody is welcome to join us for a day, a month or to infinity. Your gi can be any color you wish, you can wear any patches you like and represent any team in competitions, or no team at all.
