Education Through Music-Colorado partners with under-resourced public schools to provide music as a core subject for all children.
The downsizing of school budgets too often results in the elimination of music programs despite its proven potential to develop children’s emotional, behavioral, and relational development. Our mission: to bring music back to schools so that all children, despite social or economic status, have access to a high-quality education.
Music is integrated into the school day through the skills of exceptional music teachers who are trained to promote diversity and foster parental and community engagement.
Our national network serves more than 40,000 children every year in New York, Los Angeles, Denver and Boston. In Colorado, we operate in 8 schools involving a community of 10,000 people including students, families and school staff.
