In our most recent study, which is the largest internationally with regard to the number of patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome, we show that the use of a flexible GnRH antagonist protocol leads to a significantly lower incidence of severe ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) by 20%, when compared to the long GnRH agonist protocol, without reducing pregnancy rates.
