The Delegation of the European Union to Iceland (short: EU Delegation to Iceland) is a permanent diplomatic mission and officially represents the EU in Iceland. The EU Delegation works in close coordination with the Embassies and Consulates of the 27 EU Member States.
The EU Delegation to Iceland was established in January 2010.
The EU Delegation aims to promote and strengthen political, economic cultural and people-to-people relations between the EU and Iceland. We contribute to the well functioning of the EEA cooperation and we promote EU policies and programmes in Iceland.
By engaging with political actors, the media, academia, business, and civil society, We promote the importance of the EU-Iceland relationship and the EEA cooperation among the Icelandic public. We also raise awareness of EU issues and concerns. We work to ensure the safety of EU citizens living or traveling in Iceland.
