The Direct Feed Vertical Hydroponic (DFVH) system is a highly efficient vertical farming system that represents an ideal NBS. With its ingenious design, it offers solutions to the limitations of existing vertical farming methods (i.e. humidity control, uneven crop growth, lack of pollination, energy intensive, etc.) Given that achieving sustainability is at the core of Evergreen Farm, detailed consideration was taken into account with regards to resources utilization e.g. energy consumption, water recycling, nutrients lifecycle analysis and overall system’s efficiency. In terms of energy, a revolutionary patent pending Lightning technology with no heat production has been designed and 100% electric grid independence can be achieved through the use of our patented cost-effective solar & wind technology. This solar and wind collector brilliantly integrates solar thermal, solar PV and wind energy in a single compact and efficient structure. The DFVH units are modular, which means that the assembly, disassembly (for relocation), and replacement of crops is done easily. In addition the units can be stacked upon each other achieving even greater efficiency per area of land. The DFVH system can be installed indoors or outdoors alike, in warm or cold weather, and it can be placed in any sort of buildings: abandoned factories, old unused buildings, shipping containers, traditional greenhouses, schools, restaurants, supermarkets, homes, basements, garages, rooftops, etc.
