About Evidence-Based Practice Research Group-GPA

The Evidence-based Practice Research Group is a research Group hosted within the Ghana Physiotherapy Association, Ghana. It was established on 13th March 2022 following the creation and first publication of two flagship evidence-based practice (EBP) initiatives; the GPA Evidence Updates and the GPA Evidence Database on 13th February 2022. The Group's vision is to promote the #EBP practice culture amongst physiotherapists and other rehabilitation professionals through research, training, capacity building and advocacy to advance quality patient-centered care within and beyond Ghana. GPA Evidence Updates are monthly production of research summaries stroke, cerebral palsy, low back pain and Parkinson’s disease. The research summaries generated monthly are indexed in the GPA Evidence Database for continuous engagement and as a data source for quality research evidence to support physiotherapy practice and the wider rehabilitation community.
