The Faster Payments Scheme is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the new home for UK retail payments, Pay.UK. The Faster Payments Scheme is a Financial Markets Infrastructure (FMI) providing UK bank, building society and non-bank payment service provider's customers with real time, 24x7, account-to-account funds transfers. Faster Payments has been in continuous operation for nearly 10 years and still provides the UK economy with a world leading payments capability.
