Born out of years of working on the prevention of human trafficking, it became clear that fathers intersect with trafficking through personal behavior, as well as instilling exploitable vulnerability and entitlement in children that is easily drawn into the world of commercial exploitation on both the supply and demand side. We must make a safe space for to flip the threats to opportunities to enrich their experience as fathers and prioritize being that father and father-figure that provides the support and environment for security for children and communities.
We hold an annual Father-Con conference to provide information, inspiration, support and then equip fathers and parents to rise to the challenges of 21st Century parenting. We have created the Heart of the Father Award given to fathers who have gone above and beyond but in recognition that every father is in the role of a lifetime! We do trainings throughout the year for such demographics and on issues like future fathers, cyber safety, foster care and raising children in a pornified culture. We believe prevention is possible, if fathers get it.
