FC "Kryvbas" is a professional football club whose new history begins on August 20, 2020, when the debut match was played in the national cup of Ukraine. The first shot at the ball was made by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi. In 2021, Kryvbas was promoted to the First League, but the championship was suspended due to the full-scale war against russia. The team at that time was on second place and awarded by the right to play in the highest division. During the 2022/2023 season, Kryvbas plays in the Ukrainian Premier League under the management of Yuriy Vernydub, who joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine immediately after the start of the full-scale war in February 2022 instead of Europe League play-offs with FC Sheriff. He served in the artillery unit for several months and then joined Kryvbas as the head coach. Women Kryvbas was created in 2021 and in it's debut season became the bronze medalist of the championship of Ukraine. In the 2022/2023 season, the team is in second place and is fighting for the championship and entry to the UEFA Champions League. FC "Kryvbas" and the general sponsor of the club, the company "Rudomain" for the year 2022, helped internally displaced persons, territorial defense forces and the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the total amount about 2 million dollars.
