Feragua nació en 1994 como resultado de la unión del regadío del Guadalquivir para exigir soluciones ante la falta de agua. Doce años más tarde, en 2006, amplió su ámbito territorial a toda Andalucía en respuesta al nuevo escenario creado por el traspaso de competencias.
En todo este tiempo no ha parado de crecer y reforzar su representatividad. Hoy agrupa más de 300.000 hectáreas, el 33% de la superficie de regadío andaluza, y tiene representación en todas las cuencas andaluzas.
Todo ello hace a Feragua la asociación más representativa del regadío en Andalucía. Un logro que ha cosechado sin renunciar a sus señas de identidad: democracia interna, profesionalidad y capacidad técnica, y sobre todo independencia.
