HY4RES

Co-funded by the Interreg Atlantic Area programme, the HY4RES project seeks to develop hybrid renewable energy systems to support the green transition of industry and community energy demand in Europe. It will achieve this by testing and implementing these systems in several pilot sites across the Atlantic Area in the following sectors: agriculture (Spain), aquaculture (Ireland), ports (Spain) and community energy (Portugal). The project will focus on the combination of solar energy, wind power, hydropower and energy storage to balance supply and demand from these variable output sources. This combination we refer to as a hybrid renewable energy plant.
