Firecastle opened in September 2020 as an artisan grocer, bakery, café, delicatessen & gift shop with ten boutique guest bedrooms. Our shop can only be described as a “food lovers paradise”. The minute you walk in the door, the aroma of freshly baked bread and freshly brewed coffee awakens the senses. Around every corner of our store are the very best of Irish Artisan foods, beautiful fresh and dried flowers, stunning ceramics by Irish designers & the most glorious scented candles and diffusers.
The heart and soul of the Firecastle brand is our fresh product range. This range of restaurant quality ready meals have been carefully thought out by our award winning Head Chef Barry Liscombe and his team, taking inspiration from his years of running restaurant kitchens with many of our top selling dishes having featured on our Hartes of Kildare menus over the years. Barry takes great pride in sourcing only the freshest and finest quality ingredients. All of our fresh range are produced onsite in Kildare town. Large glass windows on our shop floor allow visitors the opportunity to see our chef’s and bakers at work in the kitchens daily. All of ready meals are suitable for home freezing and make perfect freezer fillers for those busy days!
