Firefly was created by two traveling pediatric ER nurses that saw a lack of affordable and clinically practical infant and new born vein finders available for nurses to carry on them. This often led to delays in care in infants and newborns due to unsuccessful IV attempts and/or time spent retrieving vein finders provided by the hospital.
Firefly Vein Light LL has created a portable vein finder that nurses can carry on them at all time so that when infants and newborns are in need of IV access there is not longer the need to search for the tools nurses need to get the job done.
Our 2023 multi-state clinical study, with a sample size of 283 IV starts, had a 78.8% 1st attempt IV success rate. Details of the study on our website.
