What's a Fish Plate? A fish plate is a metal bar joining two pieces of steel to combine and strengthen railroad tracks, shoring, ship mast, or other structural element. Fish Plate Development seeks to be what its name suggests: a connection joining two elements into a stronger one. With Dunn Development Corp. for the past eighteen years, Fish Plate principals Maggie Poxon and Mark Zimet have worked on the acquisition, design, development, construction and asset management of more than 45 affordable, supportive and mixed use projects containing more than 3,000 units and over 150,000 square feet of commercial and community facility space. Our work has been direct and hands-on: shepherding and cajoling designers, general contractors, bankers, regulators and government, for-profit and nonprofit partners to safely steward projects to completion. We prioritize the design and construction of energy-efficient, multifamily affordable housing, having seen firsthand what has worked (and what hasn’t) over more than three decades of housing development.
