The mission of the FIU Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering (CEE) is to achieve significant advancement in research, undergraduate and graduate teaching service, thus allowing educating and developing knowledgeable and well-trained professionals, with ability to adapt, technically, to disruptive and rapid changes and provide solutions to society at local, national and international levels. The FIU Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) will achieve both national and international reputation through achieving excellence in research, excellence in all its degree programs at the bachelor, master and doctoral levels and adapting to new modes of education delivery and its service to mankind. The overall goal is to enhance excellence in the study of and in providing resilient and sustainable engineering solutions to challenges faced by communities at local, national and international levels.
